Position Summary: The Lead Quality Inspector is responsible for overseeing inspection activities to ensure materials and products meet company, customer, and regulatory quality standards. This role provides day-to-day leadership to Quality Inspectors, supports training and consistency in inspection practices, and serves as a key point of communication between Quality, Production, and Management.

  • Proficient in computer systems including MS Office products and ERP systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant inspection experience (lead or senior-level experience preferred)
  • Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job such as: Safely navigating a manufacturing environment Working in a cleanroom environment Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and stooping Using tools and inspection equipment Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily inspection activities to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards across both multi-use hose products and single-use products assembled in a cleanroom environment
  • Provide direction and work instructions to the team of Quality Inspectors
  • Perform inspections and testing of materials and finished products
  • Monitor and review inspection data, test results, and documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for inspectors regarding specifications, inspection methods, and quality requirements
  • Train, mentor, and support Quality Inspectors to ensure consistent inspection practices
  • Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications or standards
  • Participate in and support testing processes to ensure adherence to specifications or standards
  • Collect, prepare, and sort materials or samples for processing and testing
  • Identify, communicate, and document nonconformances or production issues
  • Assist with tagging, quarantine, and disposition of nonconforming material
  • Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and specifications to determine inspection requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and inspection processes
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards and comply with applicable regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
