A Lead Project Manager at SDC guides assigned projects and oversees the company’s full project portfolio from start to finish. This role manages project schedules and resource planning across teams and ensures projects stay on time and on budget. The Lead PM serves as the main link between clients and the SDC team, helping keep projects moving forward and solving technical issues as they arise. Requirements

  • History of driving projects though best practices, processes and change management.
  • Experience solving technical problems with custom automation equipment.
  • Enjoys hands-on approach to help assist projects to finish line.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills, conflict management and proactive decision making.
  • Ability to develop relationships, build credibility, and establish trust.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead and manage interdepartmental teams.
  • Proficient with Smartsheet.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience identifying needs, assigning roles and responsibilities, and managing teams to meet project deliverables.
  • Experience with automation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules and maintains project resource assignments.
  • Maintains resource manager, ensuring accurate allocation of team members assigned to jobs and communicating information to managers and PM team.
  • Recommends work assignments for managers.
  • Balances running key projects personally as well as helping oversee and improve PMO.
  • Leads an interdepartmental team to complete assigned projects on time, on budget, to specifications, with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to help solve technical problems: quickly evaluate technical risk, create, and manage plans to mitigate risk.
  • Manages changing responsibilities, project prioritization, and workload adjustments by effectively managing changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs and keeping the project plan accurate and updated.
  • Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.
  • Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors by addressing questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project in a timely and professional manner.
