National Grid is looking for a Lead Project Manager for Electric in Albany, NY, New York City, or Boston, MA. This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to advertised location. Responsibilities

  • Manage complex electric projects for distribution and transmission lines and substations, including new facilities, major additions, rehab and retrofit projects.
  • Coordinate all aspects of assigned projects, including leading team meetings and providing project status reports to team members and stakeholders.
  • Acquire required environmental permits, licenses and land rights; engineering and design deliverables.
  • Manage contracted services, equipment and material procurement and administration.
  • Oversee construction, interface with operations, and commissioning; and close activities with project acceptance.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, collaboration, and efficient resource utilization throughout the department and project teams.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrate a high level of personal initiative and ability to interact with company personnel, contractors, regulatory representatives, and town/city officials in a positive collaborative manner.
  • 5+ years leading teams.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects according to budget and time constraints.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving history required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred knowledge of electrical and civil engineering, contract management, construction, environmental, and/or finance.
  • Preferred experience in electric utilities.
