Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of project and/or program management experience preferred.
  • Associate degree and 10+ years of project and/or program management experience required.
  • Experience to include program management, resource planning, functional management, business/project governance or operationally related areas.
  • Proficiency in project and work management software including Microsoft Office, Primavera (P6) and Power Plant preferred.
  • Familiarity with transmission line and substation engineering, design, permitting, construction, and closeout activities preferred.
  • Understanding of jurisdictional process and regulations preferred.

  • PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and monitor risks to the workplans including major permit issues or restrictions, logistical problems, material issues, and cost constraints or contractual problems and recommend appropriate action.
  • Communicate project requirements and schedules to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Planning and Asset Management to develop strategies for the workplan.
  • Build and maintain 24-60+ month portfolio and implement long-term resource strategies to meet regulatory, budgetary, and jurisdictional goals for the New York transmission and substation electric portfolio.
  • Analyze and monitor resource and financial forecasts within portfolio using project management software (Primavera P6) for optimal workplan delivery.
  • Support portfolio optimization by ensuring data accuracy in 5 year workplan.
