About The Position

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a highly organized and proactive Lead Project Engineer on the F-15 International Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) team. This role will serve as a critical link between the Program Manager and the SEIT team, acting as a deputy program manager to ensure seamless project execution. The Project Engineer will collaborate closely with systems engineers and other stakeholders to support program objectives, manage schedules, coordinate resources, and drive project deliverables to successful completion. Leadership will be critical for this role in tracking performance metrics, implementing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement throughout the program lifecycle. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Strong Leadership and Collaboration: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster collaboration among diverse internal and external stakeholders to achieve program objectives.
  • Project Management Expertise: Skilled in developing and managing Statements of Work (SOW), resource planning, risk mitigation, and tracking project performance to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Effective Communication and Influence: Capable of clearly articulating technical and business information to customers, suppliers, and leadership, facilitating alignment and informed decision-making.
  • Adaptability and Resilience: Comfortable navigating changing project requirements and priorities, maintaining focus and composure to drive results in a dynamic environment.
  • Technical Acumen with Business Insight: Combines solid engineering knowledge with an understanding of business drivers to balance technical solutions with program cost, schedule, and risk considerations.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim/Final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Program Manager and the SEIT team, translating program goals into actionable project plans.
  • Develop, maintain, and track project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure timely delivery of program milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities within the SEIT team and with external partners to facilitate integration and testing efforts.
  • Identifies and maintains day-to-day oversight of cost, schedule, and performance metrics and reporting to leadership
  • Monitor project risks and issues, proactively identifying mitigation strategies and escalating as necessary.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports, briefings, and documentation to program leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support configuration management, change control processes, and compliance with program requirements.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across technical and management teams to align project objectives.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of program documentation, including plans, proposals, and technical reports.
  • Maintains working-level customer relationships on the effort
