About The Position

As a Lead Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective project coordination. Your monitoring of project progress and adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards will help maintain project efficiency and deliver high-quality results. You will report directly to our Engineering Program Manager and you will work out of our Torrance California location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the company's success by ensuring the successful execution and delivery of complex engineering projects, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Requirements

  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
  • BS EE, BS ME, Systems Engineering, Control Systems, Project Engineering, or a similar engineering degree
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in project engineering or systems engineering
  • Project engineering experience estimating, planning, scheduling, and implementing budget control for engineering work.

  • Experience with root cause and corrective action process
  • Experience in leading cross functional team to achieve program objectives
  • Leading project team to meet budget/schedule milestones on time
  • Experience with ETC Manager
  • Experience and proficiency in EVMS
  • In depth understanding of Turbo Machinery and electrical mechanical equipment
  • Experience in System Engineering
  • Experience in reporting project progress to internal/external leadership
  • Composition of PowerPoint presentations for peer reviews, team meetings, program design reviews, and phase gate activities
  • Familiarity with aircraft and aerospace testing standards, such as DO-178B, DO-160
  • Knowledge of systems and project engineering best practices, systems integration, verification of requirements, and validation of system functionality

  • Lead and manage complex engineering projects from initiation to completion
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project team members
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders
