About The Position

As a Lead Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective project coordination. You will report directly to our Engineering Program Manager and you will work out of our Torrance California location on a Hybrid work schedule. Requirements

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
BS EE, BS ME, Systems Engineering, Control Systems, Project Engineering, or a similar engineering degree
Minimum of 15 years experience in project engineering or systems engineering
Project engineering experience estimating, planning, scheduling, and implementing budget control for engineering work.

Experience and proficiency in EVMS
In depth understanding of Turbo Machinery and electrical mechanical equipment
Experience in System Engineering
Experience in reporting project progress to internal/external leadership
Composition of PowerPoint presentations for peer reviews, team meetings, program design reviews, and phase gate activities
Familiarity with aircraft and aerospace testing standards, such as DO-178B, DO-160
Knowledge of systems and project engineering best practices, systems integration, verification of requirements, and validation of system functionality

Responsibilities

Lead and manage complex engineering projects from initiation to completion
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery
Provide technical guidance and support to project team members
Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders
