About The Position

L3Harris is seeking experienced Project Engineers for our Camden, AR Production Facility for eight programs. The candidate(s) will support one or more of the eight programs listed below. The Lead Project Engineer (Responsible Engineer Authority) role requires a highly experienced engineer who will represent the engineering COE with respect to assessing and resolving production-program product non-conformances. This individual will have total knowledge of all design and performance aspects of their assigned program to the extent that this knowledge will allow them to make accurate dispositions of non-conforming hardware. Their activity will be working with a cross-functional team involving the assigned Chief, Project, Design, Quality, Manufacturing Engineers, and Product Manager. This position will report to one of the following programs: PAC-3, Mk 72, Mk 104, ATACMS, GMLRS, Javelin, MIR, Stinger, and GEM-T.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant Project Engineering experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related Project Engineering experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related Project Engineering experience.
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in CAD, GD&T, Analysis or Materials.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to quickly assess complex problems, make decisions, and drive closure.
  • Previous experience working root cause and non-conformances.
  • Previous experience in project, materials, process, manufacturing, and/or integration/test engineering.
  • Previous experience designing & testing new equipment, processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Six-Sigma Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Real time WIP NC prioritization - repair, scrap evaluation / functional coordination.
  • Real time process optimization, Yield improvement support - minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
  • Factory specific technical inputs enabling Root Cause and Corrective Action and Sector Systemic Learning.
  • Assist in designing & testing new equipment, processes, procedures and systems.
  • Provide Real-time process optimization, Yield improvement support - minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
  • Manage required engineering analysis support to inform 'Design Engineering' dispositions.
  • Understand and adhere to Systems Engineering principles in Requirements and Risk & Opportunity management.
