Lead Production Underwriter - remote
About The Position
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Production Underwriter. In this role, you will play a key part in driving revenue growth by forging strong client relationships with insureds, retail insurance agents, and wholesale brokers. You'll leverage proactive sales strategies and skilled underwriting to promote our insurance programs and expand business opportunities. Your contributions will help identify cross-sell opportunities and ensure timely policy processing, making a significant impact on our partner's ongoing growth and success.
Requirements
- Active Property & Casualty License â Home State
- 5+ years of prior commercial insurance experience, preferably in a sales or revenue-focused role
- Fully proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong understanding and application of Underwriting Guidelines
- Competence in program applications, marketing strategies, and sales tools
- Ability to independently rate, quote, bind policies and endorsements
- Understanding of state-specific requirements
- Familiarity with company procedures, systems, and workflows
Responsibilities
- Obtain renewal and/or underwriting information for accounts
- Conduct follow-ups on applications and quotes to convert prospects into binds
- Communicate effectively via phone and email to promote products and provide solutions
- Rate accounts and prepare compelling quote proposals with appropriate terms and conditions
- Check/review policies for accuracy
- Bind policies and complete associated paperwork including processing payments
- Ensure timely delivery of items to clients
- Quote and process change endorsements while identifying upsell opportunities
- Strengthen and expand relationships with brokers and carriers to increase program growth
- Participate in marketing meetings to develop sales strategies and promotional materials
- Provide performance feedback and identify enhancements to expand program competitiveness
- Participate and present at industry-related events/conventions
