About The Position

Provides front line oversight, including but not limited to: scheduling work, overseeing quality and safety processes, and ensuring machinery is set up correctly for the department under the direction of the Plastics Manager. What is the Job? Direct daily workflow, communicate priorities, and report any production or quality deviations to the Manager/Supervisor promptly. Support team performance by providing clear instructions, answering routine questions, and escalating complex issues when needed. Ensure quality standards are met through proper checks, documentation, adherence to work instructions, and consistent use of required PPE. Train new employees, foster positive working relationships, motivate team members, and maintain fair, consistent leadership practices. Contribute to continuous improvement by offering feedback, recommending process or policy enhancements, and participating in reviews and department activities. Maintain a safe, clean work environment while operating necessary tools and upholding confidentiality, professionalism, and company values.

Requirements

  • Combination of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in leadership and participation or completion of leadership program preferred.
  • Ability to lead a team environment a must.
  • Previous experience with small hand tools is beneficial.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of production and quality processes required.
  • Ability to work independently and be self directed.
  • Familiarity with ISO certification and processes preferred.
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High levels of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and/or conflicting situations.
