Requirements

  • Able to utilize math to perform basic weights for formulas.
  • Able to read and interpret directions and order details.
  • Able to communicate both in writing and verbally.
  • Proficient in all of the plant equipment or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of plant experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Manage production operations teams to ensure the highest utilization and most efficient and productive use of the staff, equipment, raw materials and other resources provided.
  • Meet scheduled production demands eliminating backorders and ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all products manufactured meet or exceed quality standards and all Safety, Environmental and ISO requirements are met.
  • Analyze processes and make recommendations to increase utilization and lower manufacturing costs.
  • Provide backup to production staff of preparing materials needed for order.
  • Lead Production Associate focused on 5 to 8 pieces of equipment to ensure fulfillment of duties.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance of worksite.
  • Prepare materials for next shift to ensure smooth transition and handoff with minimal downtime.
  • Ensure team is utilizing raw materials that are not expired and follow correct formulas.
  • Collect samples for the QC team and adjust batch as needed.
  • Escalate maintenance needs for equipment and materials.
  • Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure maximum productivity of the team.
  • Train new team members on equipment and areas in the plant.
  • Assist supervisor with workload balancing and provide direction to team.
  • Promptly address performance concerns working with Human Resources as needed.
  • Input work order closing and perform physical inventory.
