We are looking for a Lead Product Designer to join our dynamic Product Design team at Temenos. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in shaping user experiences for our banking software solutions. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality designs that enhance usability, accessibility, and overall customer satisfaction. This role reports directly to the Head of Product Design and is responsible for leading our Design Partner Program where we leverage Design Thinking to engage our customers in intensive co-design projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in User experience Design, Service design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing facilitation skills & human-centric design thinking
  • Experience conducting design thinking workshops and mentoring teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate research findings into actionable product improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present and justify design decisions.
  • Proficiency & Certification in design thinking methodologies, service principles, and innovation frameworks (e.g., IDEO, Stanford design school, Design Council).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and design decisions to diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating effectively with product managers, engineers, marketers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and interpret user research and data to drive design decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with complex enterprise software or fintech solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Design Partnership Program projects end-to-end, by working closely with customers & partners to conduct qualitative research, rapid prototyping, and workshop facilitation
  • Develop and implement design frameworks, methodologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in product and experience design processes and outcomes.
  • Create overall structure and materials for Co-design workshops, courses & frameworks
  • Bring an outside-in perspective, incorporating industry trends, best practices, and customer insights into our product design processes.
  • Generate high-quality design artifacts that communicate product strategies and solutions effectively.
  • Lead research studies and end-to-end design projects, ensuring alignment with business and user needs.
  • Conduct user research with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to gather insights and inform design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-quality design artifacts to test and validate ideas, iterating based on feedback and insights.
  • Understand and map complex user journeys, user flows, service blueprints, identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct design thinking workshops with clients, partners, and internal teams to drive innovation and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to co-create and refine product and experience design concepts, ensuring alignment with business and user goals.
  • Organize and participate in hackathons to drive innovation and rapid prototyping.
  • Mentor teams on product design methodologies, user research, and customer experience principles.
  • Act as an evangelist for design thinking, fostering a human-centered design culture within the organization.
  • Partner closely with Product Leads and Head of Product Strategy to understand and help shape strategy and vision at a big-picture level
