Requirements

• J.D. or equivalent with 7-15 years of legal experience, including in-house and law firm backgrounds.
• Proven experience in counseling on banking regulations and embedded finance solutions.
• In-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks governing banking partnerships.
• Strong knowledge of TILA, ECOA, UDAAP, FCRA, and state usury laws.
• Experience structuring agreements related to lending and bank partnerships.
• Familiarity with loan sale and servicing agreements.
• Ability to make swift, informed risk decisions in a dynamic legal environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive product strategy and innovation by providing legal guidance throughout the development process.
• Build and evolve regulatory frameworks for existing and new lending products.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on legal and regulatory requirements impacting lending.
• Structure and draft legal agreements for bank-fintech partnerships effectively.
• Utilize technology and AI to streamline legal workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
• Design scalable legal processes that accommodate swift business growth.
