About The Position

The Lead, Procurement at L3Harris Technologies is responsible for planning and implementing procurement activities related to raw materials, goods, and services. This role involves analyzing statistical data to determine the feasibility of purchasing products, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with delivery schedules. The Lead will also manage subcontracts, create various types of contracts, and maintain documentation in accordance with regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of engineering documentation and product configuration.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of professional experience in purchasing within an MRP (ERP) driven manufacturing environment.
  • Proven professional history and experience involving procurement negotiations.
  • Experience in government / FAR buying environment is preferred but not necessary.
  • Contract experience, including knowledge of terms and conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement procurement activities for raw materials, goods, and services.
  • Compile and analyze statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and establish price objectives.
  • Approve and qualify vendors, obtain quotes, examine bids, and make awards.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and analyze their operations to determine pricing factors.
  • Review proposals, negotiate prices, and select or recommend suppliers.
  • Maintain necessary records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Manage subcontracts for assigned suppliers and commodities.
  • Lead supplier selection process and perform cost/price analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with delivery schedules and follow up with suppliers.
  • Review and negotiate terms and conditions modifications.
