Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America’s leading retailers. Targets Food Supply Chain is evolving at an incredible pace. We are constantly reimagining how we get the right product to the right guest even better, faster and more cost effectively than before. We are becoming more intelligent, automated and algorithmic in our decision-making, so that no matter how guests shop – in stores or on Target.com – we deliver the convenience and immediate gratification they demand and deserve. We are on a mission to win decisively over any competitor, with a seamless and superior guest service experience unlike any they can offer. Are you a critical thinker who seeks the root cause and can analyze both qualitatively and quantitatively? Are you a creative problem-solver who simplifies problems, quickly identifies solutions, commits to a plan, and then positively influences others to execute it? If so, you will have success on one of our dynamic teams. A role on the Network Strategy & Optimization Team within Food Supply Chain (FSC) means being relentlessly focused on optimizing Target’s temperature-controlled network to improve cost, reliability, and the guest experience. Our teams operate with speed and agility, coming together frequently to design and implement new processes at scale. We are looking for exceptional people who are proactive, independent, innovative, and comfortable operating in varying degrees of ambiguity. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with experts across Food & Beverage, GSCL, Product, and Technology to support roadmap creation, program management, and the initial design of a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) across our network. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, systems, and execution — translating complex business needs into scalable, deployable capabilities. As a Lead Process Manager – FSC Systems Strategy, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering the future of Target’s food distribution network by owning the creation, articulation, and execution of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) roadmap and its dependent integrations. You will be responsible for translating complex operational processes into scalable technical capabilities, ensuring that future-state design decisions are grounded in operational reality and sequenced for successful execution. You will help define a realistic yet aggressive multi-year roadmap while remaining actively engaged as work transitions from concept to execution. You will serve as a key integrator across enterprise and external partners, aligning business, technology, and operations around a clear path forward. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional leadership, the ability to influence senior leaders, and comfort navigating ambiguity and continuous change. You will act as a connective thread between current-state challenges and future-state capability, ensuring solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned to long-term network strategy. Ultimately, you will synthesize progress, risks, and tradeoffs into clear recommendations for executive stakeholders while driving alignment across the broader supply chain.
