About The Position

Overview: Pricing Analysts sit at the center of consumer deposit pricing strategy, responsible for helping shape how checking, savings, and CD products are priced and forecasted across regions and customer segments. You will partner closely with business leaders to monitor performance at a highly granular level, assess whether pricing is delivering the expected balance growth and profitability, and provide data‑driven recommendations when adjustments are needed. Success in this role requires the ability to translate complex data into clear insights, build structured decision frameworks, and tell a compelling story that supports strategic trade‑offs. You’ll balance analytical depth with business judgment, helping leaders optimize customer growth, yield, and long-term portfolio performance. What You’ll Do: Pricing Strategy & Performance Analysis: Analyze and forecast consumer deposit performance (checking, savings, CDs) by product, region, and customer segment. Monitor how pricing decisions impact balance growth, customer behavior, and profitability at a detailed and ongoing level. Evaluate whether portfolio performance aligns with pricing strategy and business objectives; proactively identify gaps or emerging risks. Support trade‑off decisions (e.g., rate changes vs. customer attrition) through scenario testing and forecasting. Decision Frameworks & Insights: Build and maintain pricing and performance decision frameworks that enable timely, informed business decisions. Perform complex, multi‑disciplinary analysis to support short and long-term strategy. Identify trends and emerging issues, synthesize multiple points of view, and translate findings into actionable recommendations. Reporting, Visualization & Storytelling: Lead the development and ongoing enhancement of dashboards and reporting (Tableau or Power BI), going beyond basic reporting to deliver insights. Work with large, complex datasets using SQL and Excel to produce accurate and meaningful analysis. Create clear, compelling PowerPoint presentations that tell a story with data and effectively communicate findings to senior leaders and business partners. Projects, Process Improvement & Risk Support: Lead or support cross‑functional, high-visibility projects related to pricing strategy, forecasting, systems, or regulatory changes. Continuously improve analytical processes, reporting tools, and workflows; document procedures and recommend automation where appropriate. Support departmental audits, compliance testing, and user recertifications, ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory standards. Act as a key point of contact for system support, coordinating with technology teams, vendors, and business partners as needed. Leadership & Collaboration: Serve as a thought partner and advisor to stakeholders across the business. Mentor and informally coach junior team members, providing analytical guidance and feedback. Adapt quickly to ad‑hoc questions and unexpected requests in a fast-moving, decision‑oriented environment. Why This Role Matters: The decisions supported by this role directly influence customer growth, profitability, and how the bank competes for consumer deposits. You’ll have visibility into strategy, exposure to senior decision‑makers, and the opportunity to shape outcomes with data‑driven insights that matter.
