We are seeking an experienced Operator III (Lead Press Operator) to join our Arlington, TX manufacturing operation. This role is ideal for a highly skilled press operator with strong leadership capabilities who thrives in a fast‑paced production environment and is passionate about quality, safety, and continuous improvement. As a Lead Press Operator, you will oversee production crews and take full ownership of press operations, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards—while mentoring and developing team members along the way.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of progressive manufacturing experience, with strong hands‑on press operation experience
  • Proven ability to independently set up and run press equipment with minimal supervision
  • Experience achieving high‑quality print registration within defined tolerances
  • Background leading crews or mentoring operators in a production environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to coach others and promote positive teamwork
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing safety requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and follow standardized work instructions
  • Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and improvement
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of press and converting equipment, meeting all quality, waste, and productivity standards
  • Demonstrate advanced press experience, including print quality, registration, web handling, tension control, plate/cylinder setup, and inline finishing
  • Set up and operate all press‑related ancillary equipment, including gluing, labeling, Straub applicators, and rotary cutters
  • Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective, sustainable solutions
  • Perform minor mechanical adjustments and repairs as needed to keep press operations running efficiently
  • Lead and direct production crews to ensure efficient, safe, and high‑quality operation of equipment
  • Train and coach employees on press operations, quality standards, and best practices
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure smooth communication and handoffs between shifts
  • Ensure all job tickets and specifications are accurate before beginning production
  • Maintain 100% compliance with productivity, quality, and waste standards
  • Accurately track production counts and enter all required data and codes
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Enforce all safety rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards
