About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Requirements

  • Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings, particularly with children ages 3-5.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly valued.
  • Excellent classroom management skills combined with the ability to nurture positive behavior management strategies.
  • Experience in childcare, nannying, babysitting or working with children with diverse needs is preferred.
  • Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a lively, energetic approach to teaching young children.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and community partners.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that stimulate cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth for toddlers.
  • Lead daily classroom routines, including circle time, play-based learning, snack time, and nap schedules.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that encourages children’s independence and self-expression.
  • Observe and assess each child's progress, documenting milestones and communicating with families regularly.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive guidance strategies and effective behavior management techniques.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or caregiver staff to ensure high-quality care and educational standards are maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety policies, including first aid procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Collaborate with families to support each child's individual needs, including those with special education requirements or disabilities.
  • Maintain organized classroom environments that promote exploration while adhering to health guidelines for daycare settings.
