About The Position
The Learning Experience – Manassas City is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Lead Preschool Teacher to guide our preschool classroom and support children as they build independence, confidence, and early academic skills in a structured, engaging environment. This role is ideal for an experienced childcare professional who enjoys leading a classroom, creating meaningful learning experiences, and partnering with families to support school readiness.
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Prior preschool or childcare experience required
- Experience leading a classroom strongly preferred
- Ability to meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Dependable, patient, and team-oriented
Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom instruction using developmentally appropriate activities
- Create a consistent, positive learning environment that supports social and emotional growth
- Implement lesson plans aligned with our early childhood curriculum framework
- Supervise children during learning centers, meals, playground time, and transitions
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets licensing and safety standards
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress and classroom updates
- Collaborate with center leadership and teaching team members
- Support children’s independence, problem-solving, and early literacy development
