About The Position
We are located in Arvada, Colorado. At Primrose School at Candelas is an accredited private preschool that provides a premier educational childcare experience. We offer year-round programs for children from infant through elementary school age. We are seeking an energetic, fun individual for a Lead position in our Early Preschool and Preschool classrooms. As an Early Childhood Teacher in our child care facility, you would have a rewarding career in helping plan and implement an ongoing program of activities which promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child. Requirements
- Must be Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualified under local, state, and federal regulations
- Must pass all required background checks
- Must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
- Occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Frequent walking, standing, sitting, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, bending, and crouching
- Ability to relate positively to young children.
- Is flexible and adaptable.
- Holds passion and respect for young children.
- Is team-oriented and communicates well.
Responsibilities
- Lead teacher supervises daily class functions of a group of children.
- Lead teacher assess each child's individual ongoing developmental needs.
- Lead teacher implements an approved lesson plan and daily classroom schedule.
- Lead teacher work with Assistant Teacher(s) and the Director in planning parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations.
- Lead Teacher attends all required staff meetings, workshops, and school functions.
- Lead Teacher complies with all applicable local, state, or federal regulatory rules and laws pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children.
