About The Position

Consulting Services, a part of GE Vernova, has offices in multiple countries and offers global clients (external & GE Vernova verticals) a wide range of solutions across the entire spectrum of power generation, delivery, and utilization. Consulting Services at GE Vernova is a team that has comprehensive global experience in power system studies including in-depth experience in analyzing shunt and series compensations including application of SVCs, FACTS, HVDC, synchronous condensers, STATCOMs, and power plant and transmission system dynamic controls. Our global team has extensive professional experience with leading power system simulation and analysis software tools such as PSLF, PSS/E, PowerFactory, PSCAD, EMTP, ASPEN, ETAP, other commercial application tools, and many specialized in-house tools. Our team also has deep experience with voltage control and reactive planning issues as well as the tools and procedures that are most effective in studying them. We perform detailed steady state, voltage and transient stability studies of regional transmission systems, generation interconnections, and renewable generation impacts, as well as specialized studies for sub- synchronous resonance, and torsional and control interactions. Role Summary/Purpose As a member of the Consulting Services Grid Integration and Stability (GIS) practice area, the selected candidate will be an active contributor to the GE Vernova business initiatives related to power systems and power electronics equipment and services to support energy transition.
