About The Position

Curtis Power Solutions, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, has an opening for a Lead Power Generation Field Service Technician at our location in Baltimore, Maryland. This individual should have years of previous experience as a technician. Indel Power Group is a distributor/dealer for major brands such as mtu, Daimler/Mercedes, Perkins, PSI Engines, Detroit Diesel, Kohler, Cummins, Caterpillar, and Volvo Penta. Requirements

• Years of previous experience as a technician
• Ability to perform electrical and mechanical repairs
• Strong communication skills
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness

Nice To Haves

• Experience with major brands such as mtu, Daimler/Mercedes, Perkins, PSI Engines, Detroit Diesel, Kohler, Cummins, Caterpillar, and Volvo Penta

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled tasks in the diagnosis of malfunctions, repairs, preventative maintenance, adjustments, and overhauls
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness
• Maintain open communication with management team regarding job status, updates, and changes
• Use low and high voltage load banks for testing and repair of generator sets
• Determine corrective action through inspection of failed parts
• Order replacement parts and services in efficient and effective manner
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs to the engine, generator, or components
• Perform startup and commissioning on large genset units with automatic transfer switches
• This position requires occasional driving
