About The Position

As a Lead Power Engineer a typical day might include: Maintaining a detailed understanding of electric power systems and how to protect, monitor and control the power system. Conceiving and developing concepts for new product ideas and enhancements. Lead efforts in providing power engineering support for customers & field application engineers. Serving as project technical lead. Modeling, teaching and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. Embracing the mindset: Understand. Create. Simplify. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Typically 6+ years of experience in electric power systems, protection practices and philosophies.
Excellent technical training, speaking and writing skills.
Experience leading a portion of a project.
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Have working knowledge of SEL products.
Experience in MATLAB® and/or Python programming.
