About The Position

Activités visant à prouver la validité ou la faisabilité technique d'un concept par l'application de méthodologies scientifiques et techniques. Le travail dans cette famille a généralement pour objectif de démontrer, par le biais de tests ou d'analyses, les performances et le potentiel de mise en œuvre d'un concept. Exerce une influence sur les opérations département et est responsable de la planification et/ou de l'exécution. Ce rôle jouit d'une certaine autonomie, mais est axé sur l'exécution d'activités au sein d'une discipline opérationnelle couverte par les pratiques et procédures fonctionnelles standard. Un certain discernement peut être nécessaire, mais généralement dans le cadre d'une orientation.

Requirements

  • PhD with a minimum of 2 years experience in Power Electronics
  • Master degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in Power Electronics
  • Bachelor degree with a minimum of 7 years experience in Medium and High Voltage Power Electronics Converters

  • Understand physical phenomena; strong theoretical and mathematical background; with the ability to understand new concepts and ability to communicate information clearly
  • Experience in Middle Voltage and High Voltage applications
  • Willingness to travel when needed

Responsibilities

  • Simulate and design an overall Power Electronics system for Industrial application such as Marine Propulsion, Oil and Gas, Metals rolling mills, and Power generation applications
  • Specify electrical components (Cables, Filters, Inductors, Capacitors, Transformers, Converters …) of the overall electrical power plant
  • Write all project artifacts including Hardware and commissioning instructions
  • Design new Voltage Source Inverter (IGBT or Sic) and new Thyristor converter (Rectifier LCI)
  • Support the Drive Test and Validation Software
  • Develop Offline and Real Time Electrical System Simulation for the Design of a Power Electronics system for Marine, Oil and Gas, Industry applications
  • Write specifications for Power Electronic Controller and commissioning test mode instructions
  • Develop the Drive/Converter Software and HMI, validate, and test on a test bench or on a HIL Real Time platform
  • Develop Technical Engineering tools for the project team
  • Support the project team and Drive Commissioning
  • Support the Drive Validation and Commissioning
