About The Position

The Senior/Lead Polisher role is a step above a regular housekeeping position, designed to provide leadership and set the foundation for future growth within Sosuite. Senior Polisher take full ownership of cleanliness and presentation within their assigned building or area. Their attention to detail, consistency, and pride in their work directly enhance the Sosuite guest experience—and their excellence is reflected in higher pay and added responsibility. They ensure every corner of their property—from the entrance to the guest rooms—meets Sosuite’s sparkling clean standards. In addition to performing daily housekeeping duties, they act as Sosuite’s eyes and ears on site, identifying issues before they affect guests and maintaining seamless communication with management and fellow team members. The Lead Polisher is responsible for training both current (on an as needed basis) and newly hired polishers on all job-related duties.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of professional cleaning or housekeeping experience, preferably in hospitality, hotels, or residential cleaning.
  • Experience maintaining high cleanliness standards and paying close attention to detail.
  • Comfortable supporting or helping train coworkers on cleaning procedures and expectations.
  • Ability to inspect rooms or apartments to ensure they meet company cleaning standards.
  • Experience working efficiently and staying organized in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of cleanliness and presentation across assigned properties.
  • Clean, prepare, and inspect entire short-term rental apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and common spaces.
  • Change linens, clean floors, polish surfaces, wash windows, and restock supplies.
  • Ensure furniture, appliances, and amenities are clean and in working order.
  • Conduct detailed inspections to meet Sosuite’s quality standards.
  • Train and assist housekeepers on optimal cleaning procedures and company standards.
  • Supervise and support team members to ensure cleaning speed and quality targets are met.
  • Help with difficult or time-sensitive cleans when needed.
  • Perform stayover cleans while respecting guest belongings.
  • Conduct special cleaning projects as assigned.
  • Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layouts.
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damage to Sosuite property.
  • Complete all tasks within expected time frames and accurately clock in/out for shifts and breaks.
  • Use mobile apps to communicate completion of cleanings or to report issues.
  • Return company property and equipment to designated storage locations after shifts.
  • Uphold Sosuite’s culture of professionalism, hospitality, and accountability.
  • Lead by the example in all aspects of the Sosuite policies and procedures.
