About The Position

Looking to build your career and design your future? You have come to the right place. Essential Functions Supervise and mentor polishing team members, ensuring adherence to company standards. Serve as the primary point of contact for polishing-related inquiries and troubleshooting. Coordinate with other department leads to ensure timely completion of polishing tasks for production schedules. Polish and seal stone fabrications while inspecting for imperfections, defects, and errors. Inspect slabs for cracks and ensure cuts and polishing are accurate and meet specifications. Perform quality control checks on all polished products to ensure customer satisfaction. Inspect and maintain polishing equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure team compliance with proper safety protocols and equipment usage. Manage materials used daily to minimize theft, waste, and loss, maximizing profitability. Implement and refine processes to reduce errors and improve workflow efficiency. Provide feedback to team members to enhance skills and ensure consistent quality. Ensure team adherence to all OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Report and track all injuries and incidents in compliance with company procedures. Accurately complete timecards and required documentation for team members. Participate in and facilitate required training sessions for the polishing team. Maintain accurate records of production and equipment inspections. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of polishing experience, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Expertise with equipment such as edge polishers, hand tools, CNCs, and routers.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to identify and resolve defects or errors in polishing processes.
  • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills to train and manage team members.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills to ensure precision in cuts and measurements.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, training materials, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to write reports and communicate effectively with team members and management.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual experience preferred (English/Spanish).
  • Forklift certification preferred but not required.
