As a Lead Plumber on our new construction team, knowledge in all applicable state and local plumbing codes and Steg methods, policies, and procedures is a must. This position will work within new residential construction settings and will lead and develop their team while also performing skilled plumbing tasks. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience leading plumbing crews on new construction jobsites
  • Valid Driver's License
  • High school diploma/GED/equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Apprenticeship or Journeyman license preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction in the organization of material and maintain job site (tools and materials) to provide a safe and efficient work environment. Also responsible for maintenance of truck inventory, including materials, supplies, and small tools.
  • Understands and practices the principals of code compliant water supply, drain, waste and vent systems and properly installs systems in an efficient manner.
  • Is proficient in installing plumbing fixtures, modules, rough-in valves and other equipment.
  • Competent with measuring, cutting, threading, soldering and gluing piping and fittings.
  • Perform quality control checks if work performed by crew and ensure all work performed meets acceptable standards of performance and correct problems onsite or in a call-back basis.
  • Understanding of blueprint reading and layout.
  • Has a strong understanding of all job site phases and is able to work independently with little direct supervision.
  • Effectively lead job site and crew and can effectively assign tasks in all areas needed on the job.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in the use of hand tools, power tools, and power equipment.
  • Responsible for the training and development of Pre-Apprentices and Apprentices on the job site.
  • Understand, demonstrate, supports, and hold crew accountable to the Steg safety culture through compliance with all safety policies and practices. Actively engaged in ensuring jobsite conditions are safe for Steg employees and external contractors.
