Lead Platform Engineer (Global Payment Network Testing)
About The Position
Lead Platform Engineer (Global Payment Network Testing) Do you love building and pioneering in the technology space? As a Platform Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- At least 6 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory)
- At least 4 years of test automation experience
- At least 4 years of experience with AWS
- At least 2 years of team leadership experience
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years of experience with AWS
- 3+ years of experience with Xray, Confluence or Zephyr
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
Responsibilities
- Quality assurance: A strong understanding of software quality assurance principles, security, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners and engineers, to ensure the final product meets all requirements and appropriate testing has been planned.
- Translate business requirements into quality specifications and provide quality direction for the product team.
- Leadership: Ability to guide technical teams to ensure solutions are built with a quality mindset.
- Continuously improve software engineering practices
- Oversee and ensure the quality of test plans, test cases, test matrix, and bug reporting.
- Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
- Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience and scalability of your solutions
- Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
- Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity
- Utilize scripting languages like Python, SQL, Ruby and groovy, Container Orchestration services including Docker and ECS, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services
