Your Team & Role Our Technology Team is looking for a dynamic, highly collaborative, and consultative change agent to join our Delivery team. In this role, you will lead transformational change by improving business processes and integrating innovation and technology into our workforce. The Lead Platform Engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the configuration within the Workday application, ensuring it aligns with Prudential’s policies and strategic goals. This position requires extensive experience in supporting Workday HCM configuration. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally across multiple global locations. You will need to engage with various teams to understand business needs, document detailed requirements, work with HR stakeholders to ensure compliance with corporate standards, and act as the subject matter expert for Workday HCM configuration. Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day Take ownership of end-to-end configuration administration within Workday. Ensure business processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with the organization's objectives. Offer expert advice and consultancy to HR as needed. Oversee the review and approval of requests and changes. Create, document, and maintain proper SOX and/or internal controls. Work collaboratively with internal project teams and external partner resources. Evaluate the feasibility of configuration changes and their impact on HR business processes or integrations. Develop and execute test plans based on business requirements, tracking defects and fixes, and managing issues to resolution. Participate in weekly meetings with project teams, leading design discussions and best practice sharing. Regularly update the project plan and risk/issues logs. Ensure consistent and clear communication among all project stakeholders. Address incident tickets and change requests in line with change management, change control, and incident management policies, protocols, and SLAs.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Over 4 years of professional Workday configuration experience.
  • A results-oriented mindset with strong independence, collaboration, agility, and adaptability.
  • Demonstrated success in service delivery, enhancing customer experience, optimizing processes, and leveraging new technology solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to organize tasks, effectively respond, and prioritize assignments.
  • Experience working on highly cross-functional, geographically distributed project teams.
  • Capability to collaborate with project team members at all levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Workday Payroll, Time, Reporting, Learning, or other Workday modules is advantageous.
