About The Position

The Lead Platform Architect at Hilton is a pivotal role within the in-house Technology team, responsible for creating innovative consumer-facing technologies that transform the hospitality industry. This position involves leading the technical aspects of Hilton's API layer and collaborating with various teams to enhance digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. The role emphasizes leadership in platform capabilities, project management, and strategic planning to support Hilton's digital growth and engagement.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field.
  • Four (4) years of software/platform design and implementation experience.
  • Experience in query performance reports and optimization.
  • Experience in API platforms and integration with web/mobile applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, React, JavaScript, and GitLab technologies.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience.
  • Seven (7) + years of professional work experience in Technology or a related field.
  • Experience with GraphQL and AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, document, and describe complex technical subjects in understandable terms.
  • Facilitate collaborative planning, prioritization, oversight, and support of Hilton's digital experience API platform.
  • Lead the delivery of platform capabilities across Hilton's web/mobile streams.
  • Lead several projects/tasks allowing Agile/iterative platform development, including roadmaps and collaboration space documentation.
  • Collaborate with Product, Software Engineering, Core Architecture, and Security to balance interests and needs.
  • Define API and platform capabilities that use Hilton's evolving service/API-driven infrastructure and third-party services/integration.
  • Lead API platform capability planning within platform delivery roadmaps and enterprise-level technology transformation.
  • Assess platform performance to find opportunities to increase client application/platform performance and stability.
