The Lead Therapist’s overall responsibility is to provide care to the resident at the highest level and to assist the Director of Rehab in overseeing all aspects of rehab services in the assigned center Position Information $60-$65 per hour Location: East Brunswick, NJ (Full time) Facility: Care One at East Brunswick Assisted Living Facility Practice Setting: Assisted Living

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy program.
  • 3-5 years minimum of experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
  • Knowledge in governmental and regulatory guidelines in designated healthcare settings.
  • Licensure: Actively licensed therapist in assigned state(s) of employment as a Physical / Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities

  • Provides and directs resident/resident rehabilitation care within all general accepted practice methods, meeting all center, state, federal, and accrediting standards.
  • Evaluates residents/resident needs and establishes effective and efficient treatment plans for the resident/residents assigned.
  • Manages and coordinates the supervision of treatment plans with all staff and other disciplines as indicated.
  • Provides feedback to the designated supervisor on all clinical and rehabilitation issues.
  • Assists with day-to-day coordination and oversight of all aspects of the rehabilitation services including physical, occupational, speech services for the assigned center.
  • Assists with clinical oversight in a manner that supports the goals of the designated center(s) while meeting federal and state regulations, as well as state specific practice acts.
  • Performs necessary clinical documentation to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements.
  • Maintains complete, accurate and timely billing records to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements
  • Participates in in-service training programs as requested
  • May travel to other facilities to provide services on a limited basis
