Requirements

• A combination of education and experience may also qualify for the position.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with pharmacy-based computer systems.
• Certification in Advanced Life Support (ALS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of at least three pharmacy technicians in the assigned pharmacy section.
• Distribute and balance the workload among employees to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Receive and review individual prescriptions for pharmaceuticals, including controlled drugs.
• Process prescriptions through data entry and verify prescription orders.
• Review orders for intravenous additive solutions and check for discrepancies with the pharmacist.
• Perform pharmacy compounding functions as required.
• Prepare and maintain controlled drug and regular prescription documents and records.
• Train new pharmacists and technicians on pharmacy operations.
