About The Position

The position is within the Pharmacy department at Ascension St. Vincent's Southside Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves leading assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in pharmacy services, serving as a subject matter expert, and providing guidance across pharmacies and to clinical leadership. The schedule is full-time with rotating days and evenings.

Requirements

• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead or coordinate shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.
• Serve as a technical or functional resource and perform similar duties as associates they lead.
• Assign, monitor and review progress of work.
• Monitor and report compliance with policies and/or procedures.
• May resolve scheduling issues.
• Oversee daily activities of the pharmacy technicians under the direction of the pharmacists and management.
• Assist with specialty projects and tasks as assigned by Pharmacy management.
• Participate in problem solving within the department.
• Provide input into hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
