About The Position
The Outpatient Lead Pharmacy Technician is responsible for inventory management, database maintenance, maintenance and care of automation equipment and adherence to operational, regulatory, and quality assurance standards. This position involves maintaining competence in hazardous medications, ensuring databases are updated, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and managing drug shortages. The technician will also train and schedule pharmacy staff, oversee quality assurance inspections, and serve on department committees as needed.
