About The Position

Lead Pharmacy Technician Instructor Location: Las Vegas, NV Pay Range: $25.62 – $32.03 / hour Reports to: Assistant Dean of Faculty Elevate Your Pharmacy Career into Leadership Are you a Pharmacy professional with a passion for excellence and a heart for mentorship? We are seeking a Lead Pharmacy Technician Instructor to spearhead our program in Las Vegas. In this dual-impact role, you will do more than teach—you will provide the leadership and programmatic oversight necessary to ensure the quality and integrity of our Pharmacy Technician program. You are the bridge between the classroom, the education department, and the local pharmacy community.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate degree from an accredited institution (USDE or CHEA recognized).
  • Program Background: Graduate of an ASHP/ACPE accredited pharmacy technician program (or equivalent accredited specialty program).
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of occupational experience in pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist.
  • Credentials: Must be a Licensed Pharmacist or a Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in good standing.
  • Memberships: Current membership in at least one national and one state pharmacy organization.
  • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of prior teaching experience in the subject field.

Responsibilities

  • Program Oversight: Facilitate Advisory Board Meetings and lead programmatic faculty meetings to ensure high standards for student outcomes and community satisfaction.
  • Curriculum Mentorship: Review textbooks and course materials; assist with the orientation and mentoring of new faculty members.
  • Classroom Excellence: Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that appeal to different learning styles, ensuring students meet all clinical objectives.
  • Clinical Coordination: Partner with Career Services to oversee student progress during clinical externships and maintain contact with site partners.
  • Operational Management: Manage supply inventory, track graduate certification pass rates, and participate in annual Program Effectiveness Plans (PEP).
