Position Summary: The Lead Personal Financial Services Advisor plays a key role within the Personal Financial Services (PFS) department by managing daily financial operations for PWS and supporting departmental process improvements. In addition to the responsibilities of a PFS Advisor, the Lead provides oversight of transactional processing, training for new hires, and serves as a primary contact for daily financial processing, compliance, and collaboration with financial institutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year in the PFS Advisor position at WellPower, and knowledge of payeeships and Social Security Administration policies and procedures for organizational payees required.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and record income on behalf of PWS.
  • Work with PWS to prepare budgets tailored to individual needs and financial goals.
  • Disburse payments and personal funds on behalf of PWS.
  • Track and reconcile all financial transactions in accounting software.
  • Monitor balances and ensure compliance with WellPower, state, and federal requirements.
  • Prepare and submit reports for regulatory agencies such as the Social Security Administration.
  • Coordinate with WellPower clinical staff to support PWS financial needs.
  • Educate and support staff across departments on the Client Trust Fund and payeeship practices.
  • Oversee daily check runs for both emergency and routine disbursements.
  • Review and process Positive Pay exceptions with Chase Bank.
  • In absence of the PFS Project Manager, process direct deposits from Chase Bank to the accounting system.
  • Train new staff and support process improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
  • Other duties as assigned
