About The Position

This position provides direction for the sanitation crew within a designated area of the plant, ensuring compliance with sanitation procedures and quality standards. The role involves training team members, maintaining communication with management, and supporting the supervisor as needed. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to apply.

Requirements

• 6 months to a year of experience in the sanitation/food processing industry.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with PSSI management, team members, customers, and regulatory agencies to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Maintain open communications with all team members in the plant.
• Meet with the Supervisor regularly to address issues such as missing or damaged parts and equipment.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and workspace in a designated area of the plant.
• Ensure team members in the assigned area complete job tasks to QA and USDA standards.
• Inspect equipment to ensure all areas are clean for pre-op inspections.
• Handle chemicals to ensure usage is within specified limits.
• Monitor and provide PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
