The Lead Performance Engineer role is designed to provide daily work direction to Senior Performance Engineers on implementation and auditing projects. This position leads training activities in the development of engineers and program initiatives, conducts studies to determine engineered labor standards, and evaluates efficient sequences of operations and workflows. The role also recommends improvements to operational processes to maximize the utilization of facilities and personnel. The Lead Performance Engineer will implement the Labor Management System (LMS) across operations, perform site audits, reporting, and project management, and conduct training related to LMS. Additionally, this role will perform LMS process and system configuration and identify LMS tools and processes. The Lead Performance Engineer will assist in the development and implementation of tools and processes to continually improve the Labor Management Program.

  • Provides LMS support, training, and daily work direction related to LMS to Operations, performance Engineers, and vendors as needed.
  • Monitors project timelines, ensures milestone achievements, and provides direction to Performance Engineers involved in field activities related to site implementations.
  • Partners with external customers and Operations on project development and issue resolution to improve customer satisfaction and deliver desired results.
  • Identifies improvements in productivity, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identifies potential projects, assesses feasibility, and participates in implementing solutions.
  • Formulates and executes project plans, helping manage the project teams to complete on time.
  • Analyzes project results to ensure delivery of expected cost improvements.
  • Performs LMS system integration testing and resolves issues.
  • Facilitates monthly performance reviews with executive leadership.
  • Develops, refines, and implements processes and tools to enhance Labor Management Systems and processes, reduce operational costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Leads special technical projects related to LMS, process improvement, or re-engineering.
  • Ensures tight inter-team coordination/communication and end-to-end visibility.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Systems, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in labor management systems, industrial engineering, or related experience.
  • 1+ years of experience developing engineered standards.
  • 1+ years of managing exempt level associates.
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), such as JDA or Manhattan.
  • Working knowledge of logistics, distribution, and/or transportation operations.
