Position Summary The Lead Patient Service Representative (PSR) plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional patient experiences. This position oversees front‑desk and administrative workflows, supports and trains PSR staff, and serves as the primary point of escalation for patient service issues. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in healthcare administrative processes, especially in mobile or community‑based care environments.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Patient Service Representative or similar healthcare administrative role
  • Strong knowledge of insurance verification, scheduling, and patient intake processes
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and support a mobile healthcare team
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and support front‑desk and administrative staff
  • Organize and oversee daily clerical and patient‑service functions
  • Serve as the main point of contact for escalated patient or staff concerns
  • Train new PSRs and ensure adherence to company policies and service standards
  • Identify workflow improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency
  • Ensure accurate and efficient patient registration and intake
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Collect co‑pays and maintain accurate financial documentation
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate mobile service logistics
  • Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and company protocols
  • Communicate professionally with patients, families, and facility partners
