As a Lead Patient Care Tech, you'll be an integral part of the nursing team, delivering compassionate care that impacts patients' lives every day. You'll provide hands-on patient care, assist with advanced procedures, and help guide and mentor and support the growth of new and experienced patient care tech staff.

Requirements

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
CNA, LNA, or EMT/Military Medic training preferred
2+ years of experience in an acute care setting or as a military medic preferred
1+ years of experience at an HCA facility preferred

Responsibilities

Perform all duties associated with Patient Care Tech job description
Assist in the hiring process by participating in the peer interview process.
Develops orientation manual and assists with orientation of new personnel.
Serves as a positive role model and resource for peers.
Meets with new hire PCTs at hospital-wide orientation. Precepts all new PCTs to ensure unit expectations and standards are known and followed.
Ensures new processes, equipment, policies/procedures, etc. are communicated to PCTs promptly.
Leads by example as reflected in positive feedback from patients and staff.
