Must be able to function as a resource for employees, internal departments, and outside customers. Familiar with all areas of the department and can fill in, answer questions, and assist in resolving issues within the department. Must be able to work independently without much supervision and accept accountability for individual tasks. Excels in customer service skills. Assists with new employee orientation and serves as a mentor. May provide oversight of work tasks and adjust staffing to ensure appropriate coverage due to absences or lack of float coverage. Assists with on-going department education and training. May develop training curriculum and materials to ensure that departmental training needs are met. May facilitate change and ensure adoption of new processes. Demonstrates analytical decision-making, information gathering, presentation, project management, group facilitation and training skills. May assist in managing productivity and department reports. The Patient Access Lead is an additional resource for Patient Access Representatives, working in direct relation to the Supervisor as a mentor, trainer, and additional leader. This role will cover the Sanford Children's Specialty Clinics as well as General Pediatrics.
