About The Position

International Bible Church, located in Stockbridge, Georgia, is a multicultural congregation with average attendance of 30-50. IBC worships predominantly in English, but has a significant representation of people from a Filipino ethnicity or heritage. Our mission at International Bible Church is to declare the gospel, disciple the believers and develop leaders. We expect that our lead pastor will be a maturing follower of Christ who meets the biblical qualifications of a pastor as stated in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. Our pastor must be doctrinally aligned with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 and personally committed to leading our church in cooperation with our Southern Baptist partnerships. Our pastor is to be the leader of the congregation in biblical worship, consistently preaching bible-based, expositional, and gospel focused sermons that equip us as believers to carry out the work of the ministry through the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). Our lead pastor is expected to be a pacesetter to help us become a church that reflects the missional picture described by Jesus in Acts 1:8.

Requirements

• Bible education consistent with pastoral ministry; Bible college or seminary preferred.
• Ministry leadership experience, preferably in a pastor or missionary role.
• Demonstrated experience and ability relating to diverse cultures and language backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to lead church volunteers and/or staff.
• Demonstrated pattern of consistent Gospel witness and disciple-making.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate Scripture through sermons and bible study.

Responsibilities

• Lead the congregation in biblical worship.
• Preach bible-based, expositional, and gospel-focused sermons.
• Equip believers to carry out the work of the ministry through the Great Commission.
• Develop and communicate vision and strategy in group settings.
