Lead Packer - Essential Duties and Responsibilities Print Labels, port tickets, WIP tickets, production orders and specification sheets for shift Staffing for packers and line assignments based on standards Manage training for new packers & trainers Coordination of meal and breaks for packers Communicate with set-up and warehouse team Backup for production team leads Review weekly records for production master cleaning Maintain inventory for production labels, port tickets, WIP labels Ensure line is ready for set up process, by clearing line Manages packers when line goes down and reviews work assignments Ability to multitask and prioritize workload Must work overtime as required

Requirements

  • Candidate should have 3+ years of experience within a manufacturing organization in a team lead role.
  • Prior packing experience.
  • Basic PC Knowledge including MS Office application and Lotus Notes.
  • Must be able to work any specified shift, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must gave good communication skills both oral and written and be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential.
  • Must be able to read, print and interpret SAP reports and packaging specification.
