About The Position

In the Lead Packaging Operator role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of packaging lines, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards. This role involves hands-on support, training of operators, and proactive problem-solving to meet operational targets such as OEE and changeover times.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in United States.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Strong understanding of packaging line operations and equipment.
• Ability to lead and train team members effectively.
• Familiarity with OEE metrics and continuous improvement practices.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform and delegate line startup and clearance tasks independently.
• Pull materials to the line using a pallet jack.
• Load caps and bottles into hoppers as needed.
• Support washout and sanitization processes across packaging lines.
• Conduct ongoing line verifications to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Lead packaging line operations.
• Train operators on all aspects of packaging line operations, including cleaning and sanitization procedures.
• Identify and resolve issues on the packaging lines; escalate when necessary.
• Understand and monitor OEE targets, expected line speeds, and associated losses.
• Complete changeovers within target times.
