Organization: Radiology OR Job Summary: The Lead OR Radiologic Technologist oversees the daily operations and workflow of the multimodality Radiology Technologists to ensure consistent and superior customer service and patient care standards. Oversees consistent compliance with department policies, procedures, and operational guidelines and has a key role in training, competency assessment, safety, and compliance. Performs various roles involved in imaging procedures within the perioperative setting. These roles are performed in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. . POSITION HIGHTLIGHTS: $10,000 sign on bonus. Relocation stipend. Full-time (36 hours per week) | Weekend dayshift (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) | 3 12-hour shifts per week (7am-7pm) | Industry competitive rates. Shift differentials are available. No on call requirement. The sign-on bonus and relocation stipend are not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past twelve months. The sign-on bonus and relocation stipend are only available for full-time positions.

Requirements

  • LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Licensure-Others
  • Relevant Work Experience Experience Level : 2 years
  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operating and maintaining radiologic equipment to produce high-quality medical images for surgical procedures.
  • Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective imaging and applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.
  • Provides appropriate radiation protection to patients, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.
  • Assists in the hiring, onboarding, orientation, training, and evaluation of new staff.
  • Demonstrates competence in working in the perioperative environment, communication/collaboration, shift coordination, effective problem solving, and cost-effective decision making.
  • Coordinates/assigns daily duties and quality checks.
  • Delegates tasks to other technologists as appropriate.
