The Operations Team Lead will oversee the Commercial Operations and Logistics team within the Hydrocarbon sector, focusing on the buying, selling, trading, and scheduling of Hydrocarbons. This role is pivotal in supporting Aramco Trading Americas' upstream supply growth and global trading objectives, ensuring operational execution and data accuracy while managing a team of operations analysts.

  • Serve as team lead with management responsibilities for team members in the operations analyst team.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision for desks, including vacation coordination, training reminders, and feedback for job proficiency.
  • Manage workload splits for balanced teams and monitor progress for data accuracy in relevant systems.
  • Act as the first point of contact for troubleshooting issues.
  • Perform review processes with team members, reviewing team metrics and improving processes as needed.
  • Aid in the development of analytical tools to enhance proficiency and performance.
  • Review trading contracts and ensure operational execution by Aramco Trading Americas and external companies.
  • Understand quality constraints and perform quality blending operations to ensure consistency.
  • Coordinate sampling for assay/quality verification as required.
  • Confirm third-party contracts and monitor receipts and pipeline schedules.
  • Convey notifications of apportionment or operational issues.
  • Coordinate and manage pipeline nominations, scheduling, and reconciliation for hydrocarbon deliveries.
  • Manage marine activity including FOB liftings, delivered cargoes, vessel vetting, and loss control.
  • Maintain terminal inventory records and keep traders informed on supply availability and issues.
  • Assess and manage operational plans and outcomes in the refining/logistics/trading environment.
  • Work closely with mid-office to ensure position and risk exposure validity in the system of record.
  • Ensure validity of volume actualization, receipt reconciliation, and payment invoice confirmations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external counterparties.
  • Enter orders and maintain data accuracy in Aramco Trading Americas Software Systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, or Engineering.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis for anyone other than the current employer.
  • Experience with petroleum/Hydrocarbon operations.
  • Three plus years of business experience.
  • Awareness of refining operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to be inquisitive, analytical, collaborative, and detail/action oriented.
  • Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity, showing resilience and adaptability.
  • Ability to maintain organization of a large quantity of dynamic information.
