Responsible for set-up and maintenance of all pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems on equipment used in the production process. Works directly with the Engineering Group to monitor and improve processes for output and waste levels. Responsible for providing leadership and ownership of process performance issues. This position will be responsible for leading our field service team in Singapore, providing technical support to customers on BD FACS products, and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient trouble shooting and maintenance activities. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong problem-solving abilities. They should also possess excellent organizational skills and be able to work independently or collaboratively as needed.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or G.E.D required
  • Mechanical Proficiency and Experience required
  • Proficient with basic hand tools.
  • Knowledgeable of feeler gauges and other tools to measure tolerances, torque, and clearances.
  • Minimum of 1 year as Set-up, Technical Associate role or equivalent.
  • Familiar with trouble shooting cams, cam-followers, rod-ends, bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gearboxes, vacuum systems, pneumatic systems, and ball-valves.
  • Basic electrical knowledge and experience with Program Logistic Controller’s and pneumatic systems preferred
  • Previous leadership roles or supervisory experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree (Major: Advanced Mechatronics Technology) preferred
  • Completed coursework in following subjects preferred (relevant experience may be substituted for individual courses): Schematics Basic Principles of Mechanics Industrial Electricity Problem Solving for Mechanical Applications Introduction to Industrial Technology

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to customers regarding BD FACS systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Conduct routine inspections of installed systems to ensure they are operating within specified parameters.
  • Trouble shoot issues promptly and effectively when they arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of system performance and repair history.
  • Assist customers with training on how to use their equipment properly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions for complex problems.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations related to medical devices.
  • Adhere to safety protocols at all times while working on site.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process optimization.
