About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to managerial, supervisory, professional, and para-professional staff located within the unit and sub-offices. The major duties are to include support for unit manager, assistant unit manager and supervision of clerical staff within the unit and perform duties which include but not limited to maintaining and processing records for all personnel staff, compile and process monthly reports, general training for new staff, correspond with state HR in reference to personnel issues, maintenance and supplies for all office equipment and general work supplies, and mail distribution. Requires a wide range of knowledge regarding the agency, its policy and procedures, the community and its resources, and the ability to verbalize this information effectively and appropriately.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of community resources and services available to support individuals and programs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and explain agency policies, procedures, and available resources to staff, consumers, and community partners.
  • Ability to interpret and convey information clearly, accurately, and appropriately in both verbal and written formats.
  • Skill in providing guidance and responding to inquiries regarding agency services and community resources.
