Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, and assessment of clinical staff.
Performs job tasks as outlined by primary discipline.
Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
Assists with developing and implements and evaluates educational programs and utilizes methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
Serves as a positive role model and consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
Assists with non-patient care tasks are managed each day, including scheduling, productivity, and other.
Demonstrates leadership and professional development.
Participates in the coordination of orientation programs, preceptor development, annual skills assessments, and simulations.
Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Applies more advanced skills and knowledge in the area of specialization.
A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience required
Associate’s degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy or related field as determined by the organization required upon hire
RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist with the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) AND RCP - Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Kentucky AND BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 45 days of employment in this position
