About The Position

The Lead of Membership Operations plays a key role in creating a welcoming, thriving community at the Dwares JCC. This position focuses on member engagement and operational excellence, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to wellness and inclusivity. Responsibilities include covering the welcome desk, mentoring and training the welcome desk team, providing tours, managing health club memberships (including locker assignments), supporting administrative operations, handling initial member concerns, and fostering a collaborative environment that inspires connection and belonging.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associate degree required.
  • Demonstrated alignment with the Alliance’s core values.
  • Experience working in hospitality, customer service, or wellness center
  • Expert in customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to mentor and train team members effectively.
  • Organizational and administrative proficiency, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Experience in membership development and community engagement.
  • Ability to work rotating nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome Desk Leadership
  • Cover the welcome desk as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Act as a mentor to the welcome desk team, modeling exceptional customer service.
  • Train staff on giving engaging, informative tours to prospective members.
  • Membership Management
  • Manage health club memberships, including tracking locker assignments and related services.
  • Assist with membership applications, renewals, cancellations, and CRM data entry.
  • Generate membership reports and track usage trends.
  • Collaborate with accounting on outstanding balances and scholarship requests.
  • Member Engagement
  • Handle initial member issues with empathy and efficiency, escalating when necessary.
  • Build positive relationships with members and staff to create a supportive, wellness-focused community.
  • Community Building
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and positivity among staff and members.
  • Support programs and initiatives that enhance member experience and retention.
  • Other Duties
  • Maintain program materials and ensure adequate supply throughout the building.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
