Lead O&I Driver / Crew Lead
About The Position
Lead O&I Driver / Crew Lead · Safely operate commercial vehicles (straight trucks and/or tractor-trailers) for office and industrial relocation projects. · Drive local and regional routes transporting office furniture, fixtures, equipment, and industrial assets between customer locations, warehouses, and job sites. · Lead or assist with loading and unloading trucks using proper padding, tie-downs, and material-handling equipment. · Verify all items against paperwork, inventories, and labels to ensure accurate pickup and delivery. · Coordinate with move supervisors, dispatch, and on-site contacts regarding schedules, site access, and special instructions. · Oversee or assist with the disassembly, protection, and placement of office furniture and equipment at origin and destination. · Ensure DOT, company, and customer safety policies are followed at all times (pre-trip/post-trip inspections, log requirements, PPE, etc.). · Provide professional, courteous customer service and represent the company positively at all client locations.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (CDL A, B or C).
- Proven experience driving for office & industrial (O&I) or other commercial moving operations.
- Clean or acceptable driving record in line with company and insurance standards.
- Knowledge of basic DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and pre-trip/post-trip inspection procedures.
- Ability to assist with loading, unloading, and moving items; capable of lifting 75–100 lbs with assistance.
- Strong communication skills with dispatch, crew members, and customers.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed).
